THERE WILL BE BROOD

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife will be dumping about 238 large brood (mature hatchery) trout into a few fishing spots between Portland and Eugene this week and about 3,000 more by January, said the Oregonian.

These beefy beasts are dumb as nails, more aggressive, and will take just about anything. So if you need some off-season casting practice or just wanna throw a dry fly around and see a fish take your fly off the surface this winter, you’re in luck.
