There’s nothing better than a little fly fishing for salmon while your buddy and some guy sit and watch you battle the native beast — at the same time your hippie long haired friend plays the Harmonica like you were the once outlaw turned hero in some old west movie.
The ups and downs of winter steelhead fly fishing. A couple seasons ago I swapped fly rod for camera and followed my friend, Rich Zellman as he cast for winter-run steelhead. Over countless days, eye traced rod’s path, over and over again. And over again. This is what came of that effort.
